Volkswagen Passat CC gets a Facelift for 2012
The VW Passat CC – the swoopy-coupe version of the regular Passat – has been around for four years and has hardly changed since it launched. Well, unless you count the option of having five seats in the back of your Passat CC, that is. But now its time for Volkswagen’s Mondeo-sized offering that thinks it’s a Mercedes CLS to get a bit of a makeover.

The icons backing Jaguar’s Academy of Sport have triumphed at the highest level. Their collective achievements include 54 Olympic and world championship medals, 10 F1 podiums and a Le Mans win, England’s most successful cricket captain and our most prolific wicket taker, plus the rugby player voted the greatest of all time. And Champions League-wining footballers David Beckham and Steven Gerrard, along with Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, couldn’t make it.

Yes, it’s the long-awaited prices for the Hyundai 140 Estate – or the trendy ‘Hyundai i40 Tourer‘ which Hyundai prefers – which is to be the first i40 to hit UK showrooms, ahead of the i40 saloon which we won’t see until early next year. Not surprisingly, Hyundai has undercut both Ford’s Mondeo and Vauxhall’s Insignia with its entry-level i40 Tourer 1.6 GDi Blue Drive which comes in £500 less than the Ford and £1k less than the Vauxhall and offers the lowest BIK in its class.
